The rich and diverse history of Los Angeles brings a rich variety of housing styles/aesthetics. Deane Haus is an example of how every home doesn’t have to be a cookie-cutter gable-roof house. With its spanish aesthetic, Deane Haus and those alike, bring culture and character to the neighborhoods of LA. BarnHaus strived to preserve this aesthetic on the outside while repairing and reorganizing the interior. Matching the original stuff color and spanish tile parapet wall trim, the exterior aesthetic was left untouched while the interior was reshuffled. The original floor plan consisted of 3 bedrooms, an awkward small kitchen, and a split living/dining room space. When constructed, the home will consist of 2 bedrooms along with a large master bedroom, a relocated larger kitchen, and an opened up dining/living space. This addition/remodel brings in more breathable space to the public side while making a larger private space with the bedrooms.
